Gravity

Well, it's two weeks until my next fill; I am ready for it now! I hadn't woken up in the middle of the night with hunger pangs since right after being banded, until last night. I was so hungry about 2:00 a.m.! But I made myself roll over and go back to sleep.

The scale has not budged! But since I've been working out daily, I can really tell that the inches are melting off! I can tell it in my clothing. I will make it a point to measure myself this weekend and blog my results. The only unfortunate loss, will be my chest measurements! The "girls" are no longer a very-full C-cup. I was a B-cup before I gained all of this weight. I'm praying that they'll perk up with my work outs because of course I've breastfed a baby since I was a B-cup AND I've stretched out the skin with the weight gain AND gravity................you know the rest! TMI!

Meanwhile, I am so thrilled that I was banded!

My current goals are as follows: -25 by Nov. 3; One-derland by Jan 1!

Go bandsters!

body sculpting and skinny feet

Did a little body sculpting with Chalene this a.m. It's not as intense as the regular workout but it still made me sweat!

Do you recognize those feet? That's what I thought when I took my shoes off yesterday. Normally after a day @ work, my feet are swollen; but yesterday I recognized my skinnier feet from a long time ago! It's the little things in life that make me happy! I'm sure it's a combination of the weightloss, exercise, and water intake. I love my band!

My morning with Chalene

So, I discovered that exercise is definitely a part of this weight loss journey. After working out just one day AND increasing my water intake, I dropped 1.5 lbs! Duh!

My friend SP and I have been working out @ lunchtime. AND last night I broke out the DVD player and my Turbo Jam DVD; I set it all up so I could do it this morning and I did! Chalene kicked by butt but I got through it and plan to continue working out in the a.m. AND at lunchtime.

Today I'm going to work on setting my weightloss goals. Random acts equal random results! I need something to work toward.

no more crying!

A little about myself!

Now, don't get me wrong, I love Miss Piggy. She is the most glamorous swine in the swine family but I'm shooting for a slimmer version of her!

I am 42 and the Mom to a wonderful young man. I have been overweight most of my adult life. I started researching lapband surgery in May 2009. I attended a seminar after driving past a billboard that had a before picture that looked like I felt (overweight and miserable). I saw the doctor, was pre-certified by my insurance, got a psych evaluation and had my surgery almost 3 months after I saw that billboard. I am a little over 6 weeks out. I have lost 17.5 lbs....woohoo! I have lost many inches, I'll post measurements later. And, at this point, most important, I have been able to cut out one of my blood pressure meds! I'm still taking my water-pill until I see my doctor in 2 weeks! I had my first fill 4 weeks out, it didn't seem to make a whole lot of difference in restriction but the band in place has already made a HUGE difference! I am so excited about this journey! Go bandsters!
